You will be spending a day touring UNESCO world heritage sites, Boudhanath the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, famous stupa on hill Swoyambhunath, historical Kathmandu Durbar Square and the biggest Hindu shrine Pashupatinath. After sightseeing these wonders, you will be briefed about days ahead on the trek.

Our journey start with early morning drive alongside winding hills of Trishuli river valley towards Pokhara leaving the main highway. Then we continue to Besisahar leading north to Khudi from where we will be commencing our trek. To reach Khudi from Besisahar, it will take an hour trek taking views of Manaslu peaks on the way.

From Bulbule we continue with slopes of terraced rice fields, intriguing suspension bridges, waterfalls, alluring waterfalls, tiny farming communities and forests on the way. Also on the way, the pleasant Manaslu mountain are ever present and ever closer. We will be reaching higher altitude along the way that are only complimented by the cultural introduction prepared by the local people at Synage.

The trail forwards with descending alongside Marsyangdi river crossing suspension bridge onto climb towards Sattale (1,550 m). Then a steep path to reach Tal, famous for views of the valley, water falls. Next destination on this trail, we will be entering Manang district past village of Khotro(1,860 m), then winding down through Alpine forest and a long suspension bridge to small village of Karte (1,900 m) and Nache. The trail then leads to our final destination for today, Dharapani a junction for Manaslu and villages in the Manang valley.

We begin with a challenging forested ridges way with alluring sites of mountains around us heading up the valley. Apple orchid and crop fields welcomes us to Bagarchhap and waterfalls and pine forests ascending to Tyanja leading to Kyupar and finally to Chame. The spectacular view of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II (7,937 m), and Annapurna IV (7,525 m), is ever present in this active geo-thermal region where you can relax in the healing waters of the spring.

Our day start with steep walk through dense forest of rhododendron and pine alongside northern valley wall before reaching Bratang, and moving northward to a narrow section of the valley. Huge cliffs and landslide scree slopes and Annapurna mountain on the view we progress to wider section to Manang valley. Then we will reach to village of Pisang for overnight stop.

You can see people herding yaks and grow crops this time of the year where we can take between two trails today. The first one, the upper trail while offers exceptional view of the mountain range of Annapurna, it is little harder and longer. It goes through Gherang and to Ngawal where the landscape changes to more stunded vegetation and bare back slopes reminiscent of high plateau of Tibet. The second one, the lower trail is shorter and easy on the feet which passes through Humde airport (3,325 m). Both trail will bring us at Mungji. The trail then continues past the village of Braka (3,475 m), and finally to Manang (3,519 m).

After days of climbing, we will be relaxing and acclimatizing ourselves today exploring Manang region. There are many places to see such as Buddhist Bhojo Gompa, a walk across valley floor to Gangapurna Lake sitting a foot of steep valley on the southern side.

Passing by Chorten, we crossing suspension bridge over Jharsing Khola, it is also possible to cross the northern ridge of Annapurna IV, II, and Glacier Dome or wind down from the village to glacial lake on the foot of northern slopes of Gangapurna. Moving alongside river bed to Khangsar, an enticing site of Great Barrier welcomes us. In the company of monastery, mani walls and prayer flags, we will camp for overnight stay here.

A steep climb past Gompa through a trail of Juniper and sea buckthorn bushes, the path continues, covered by small crystals and shrubs on either sides. We will cross few streams along the way and arrive at a crest with prayer flags at (4,650 m), altitude. Excellent Service

We dealt with Ganesh before the trip and are very happy with the service provided. Everything was as promised.

Our guide, Hari, did an excellent job in planning our whole journey and improvising wherever he saw fit. He also was very in tuned with our fitness level and we didn’t feel that we were pushed beyond our capabilities.

Our porter, Gopi, was also very helpful especially in keeping our spirits up during the whole journey.

All in all I would highly recommend Adventure White Himalaya Treks Pvt Ltd to anyone who is going trekking in Nepal.
