    Everest Base Camp Trekking 

     

    We invite you to the highest elevation in the world, Everest. You can indulge in the breathtaking Sierra of the most wonderful mountain range while taking the adventurous trek to Everest base camp so few of us in the world get to do.

    Everest is known as the "Goddess Mother of Earth", Sagarmatha in Nepalese dialect. The region is the heartland of the Sherpa, residing in the beautiful landscapes of Solukhumbu. After the first expedition of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953, Everest is on the bucket list of enthusiasts, thrill seekers, adventurer, nature lover in all of us.

    We begin our journey through the direct flight from Kathmandu to the spine-tingling Lukla airstrip where we are welcome to the mesmerizing Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar and proceed to the highest monastery in the world, Tengboche monastery. While the Ama Dablam peak is luring us to its magnificent beauty. Then to the glaciers at the foot of Everest awaits, with its view of highest snow-capped mountains of Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho-Oyu which are above 8,000 m among others alluring mountains Amadablam, Thamserku, Nuptse.

    The route to Everest base camp charms us with enchanting Buddhist monasteries complemented only by the warm hospitality of the people in Sherpa villages. You can also go see Khumbhu glacier, longest in the world while Kalapatthar envelopes your senses with the panoramic views of sunrise and sunset before we finally reach the base camp. Concluding our journey, we take a tour of the base camp so soak in the wonder of Everest, we then prepare to return back to Kathmandu from the same route.

     

    Outline Itinerary:

     

    Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1300m)
    Day 02: Rest day in Kathmandu trek preparation day. 
    Day 03: Fly to Lukla (40 min) and trek to Phakding (2,610 m), 3-4 hours
    Day 04: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), 5-6 hours
    Day 05: Acclimatization Namche – Khumjung Hiking and return back to Namche Bazaar
    Day 06: Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m), 5-6 hours
    Day 07: Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410 m), 5-6 hours
    Day 08: Acclimatization day in Dingboche.
    Day 09: Trek Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910 m), 5-6 hours
    Day 10: Lobuche trek to Gorakshep (5.140 m) to Everest Base Camp (5.364 m), back to Gorakshep.
    Day 11: Gorakshep Hike to Kala Patthar (5,550 m.) then trek to Pheriche (4.240 m), 6-7 hours
    Day 12: Trek Pheriche to Namche (3,440m) 6-7 hours.
    Day 13: Trek Namche to Lukla, 6-7 hours.
    Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu (1337m) 30 – min.
    Day 15: Farewell Friend (Final departure to your onward destination).

  • Detail Itinerary
    • Day 1 Arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport of Kathmandu
      You are greeted with a warm welcome from our staff at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Then you are whisked away to your hotel in private transportation where our guide will brief on the programs on days ahead.
    • Day 2 Rest day in Kathmandu trek preparation day.
      We will prepare for the days ahead of us, introducing to your guide, briefing about the trek. We will also need your passport with Nepal's visa as well for to receive permit on the restricted areas ahead.
    • Day 3 Kathmandu to Lukla-via flight to Phakding (2,610 m), 3-4 hours
      After breakfast, we will take an early morning flight to Lukla, situated at the elevation of 2860 meters. This town has plenty of shops and lodges catering to trekkers with western style meals and trail supplies. This marks as the begining of our trek to Everest Base Camp. Having crossing a gateway with painted message, the path is generally downhill forwards. You will encounter breathtaking views of Kusum Kangure Peak on Thulo Khola suspension bridge. From there the trail will take 2-3 hours walk to arrive at Phakding, a quiet and easy to explore village where you will be catered to your first outdoors dinner.
    • Day 4 Phakding trek to Namche (3,440 m), 5-6 hours
      A forest of blue pine along the western banks of Dudh Koshi river accompanies you to your destination of Benkar village. The trail then crosses the eastern banks of Dudh Koshi river besides a large rock etched with buddhist prayers, the classic Mani Wall. After twenty minutes, we will reach to the village of Chumao. Next passages on the trail will be less steeply to climb, crisscrossing through Bhote Koshi on the way to reach Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) taking about 7 hours of time. The world famous trekking village of Namche settled in the Sagarmatha National Park will greet you with the views of Red Musk Beer and Himalayan Thar along with scared mountains of Thamserku, Kumsum Kangure and Khumbila.
    • Day 5 Rest day at Namche
      While the demanding climb up from the river to Namche is about 3-4 hours, many of us might not do well in the elevation of 3,440 meters. Thus it is recommended that we stay one night in the village of Namche to acclimatize. During our rest day at Namche, we will take a excursion to the Everest View point Hotel and Edmund Hillary School of Khumjung.
    • Day 6 Namche trek to Tengboche (3,860 m), 5-6 hours
      With a course towards Tengboche situated at an altitude of 3,860m. The main attraction not only includes the view of Cholatshe, Island Peak, and Labuche Peak. But also of the monastery of Tengboche where each year in the months of November and December's full moons, Mani Rimdi festival is celebrated. From there, it will take only 4-5 hours to reach Periche where we will rest.
    • Day 7 Tengboche trek to Dingboche (4,410m), 4-5 hours
      Our journey will continue from Tengboche to the next destination, Dingboche. The trail starts with a climb along side of the valley and passes many settlements sheltering sheperds and yaks in the months of summer. We can savor the views of Cho Oyu, Kantega and Thamserku while we arrive at Dingboche by lunch time.
    • Day 8 Dingboche rest day
      We will spend this day acclimatizing but also with climb to a ridge located behind the village. There we'll see Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Cholatse, Taboche and many more rising above Khumbu Khola valley. We can also take in the views of Imja Khola Valley and the Dingboche village while we are there.
    • Day 9 Dingboche trek to Lobuche (4,910 m), 5-6 hours
      It will take about an hour or so to arrive at Tshambur followed by a uphill hike to Thugla (4,620m). We will reach Lobuje enjoying the Khumbu glacier behind it. We will be at the altitude of 4,930m, so it is necessary to follow the guideline to avoid altitude sickness.
    • Day 10 Lobuche trek to Gorakshep to EBC back to Gorakshep(5,140 m), 4-5 hours
      The view of Lhola, Pumori, Everest, Nuptse and Khumbu Ice falls will accompany us from Lobuje to Gorakshep (5,140m), taking about 3-4 hours where we will be having lunch. From the walking through many glaciers along the way, it will take about 2 hours before we reach Everest Base Camp (5.364m), our destination. There you get to the admire the beauty of Everest up close and snap a few clicks. We will head back to Gorakshep which will take about 1 and half hours of time
    • Day 11 Gorakshep Hike to Kala Patthar then trek to Pheriche (4.240 m), 6-7 hours
      Black rock, 'Kala Patthar' (5,550 m) as it is known in Nepal is situated just below south face of Mount Pumori. The big brown bump, Kala Patthar presents us with the view of Mt. Everest distinguishing between Base Camp and the peak while Lothse and Nuptse are magnificent in their own right. We now head downhill back to Periche.
    • Day 12 Pheriche trek to Namche (3,860 m), 6-7 hours
      Our journey continues through Dudh Koshi river on the trail of pine forest decending from Dudh Koshi gorge. Then comes Sansa where can observe Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse mountains and finally to Namche Bazaar.
    • Day 13 Namche trek to Phakding to Lukla(3,792 m), 6-7 hours
      From Namche passing through Phakding we will be arriving Lukla. On the way, you will be crossing suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi and its many tributaries along side rhododendron and lush greenery of pine forests.
    • Day 14 Flight to Kathmandu.
      We will be going to Kathmandu through Lukla airport. On the way you'll be receiving the pleseant farewell from the sights of entire Himalayan range, east to the center part till the Langtang Himalayan range. You will be whisked away to Thamel after your arrival at domestic terminal, afterwards there will be post trek meeting with feedback section to share you expreience and thoughts on the trek
    • Day 15 Departure from Tribhuwan International Airport
      Our staff will be ready to drive our customers to the airport at least three hours before the scheduled departure.
